Why perfume changes with the weather
In the heat your skin is warmer and perfume evaporates quickly: it spreads more, but fades sooner. In the cold the opposite happens: the perfume stays close to the skin and light notes barely come through. So in summer you want light blends and in winter richer ones.
Spring
Floral and green perfumes: jasmine, peony, rose, fresh leaves. Light but with character, like the season itself.
Summer
Citrus, marine notes, coconut, fig. In Rhodes and Kos we know it well: at 35 degrees, a heavy sweet perfume tires both you and the people around you.
- Spray less than in winter. The heat does the work.
- Choose clothes and hair over skin that will be in the sun.
- Keep a small 15ml bottle in your beach bag to refresh in the afternoon.
Autumn
Woody and spicy: cedar, patchouli, cinnamon, leather. The season when warm perfumes start to “sit” just right.
Winter
Vanilla, amber, resins, caramel, musk. Rich blends that open slowly in the cold and stay on your scarf and coat for days. It's also the best season for our Premium perfumes, with the most intense blends.
FAQ
Do I need a different perfume for every season?
Not necessarily. If you love a perfume, wear it all year and only change the amount: less in summer, more in winter. Still, two perfumes, one light and one warm, cover most people.
Does summer heat spoil perfume?
It can, if it's left in the sun or a hot car. Keep it in a shady, cool place with the cap on.
